Armed police descended on a village near Chippenham on Monday night (5 June).
Firearms officers surrounded a property in Doveys Terrace, Kington Langley, shortly after 11pm.
A man within the address was suffering a “mental health crisis”, according to Wiltshire Police.
The patient, aged in his 40s, was detained by officers and is “now receiving appropriate care”.
