A man has been charged with 38 offences after a teenage girl was raped in Swindon.
Mark South has been remanded in custody following an investigation by Wiltshire Police – and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).
The 38-year-old Jamaican national, of Beaver Road in Ashford, Kent, faces 38 allegations relating to the sexual abuse of nine victims.
He has been charged with four counts of rape of a teenage girl in Swindon.
South is further charged with taking and distributing indecent images of children, blackmail, engaging in sexual communication with a child, causing and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and causing and inciting a child to prostitution.
The charges relate to alleged offending between January 2021 and December 2024, which is claimed to have taken place in Swindon and Kent.
