A woman has suffered a serious ear injury in an attack at a house in Melksham.
Emergency services were called to an address in Lincoln Green following a reported disorder shortly after 5pm on Thursday (3 October).
Numerous police officers attended the scene, with at least four police vehicles parked in the street.
A woman, aged in her 20s, sustained a serious injury to her ear which required hospital treatment.
A man, also aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
The suspect has since been released on bail, as police continue to investigate the circumstances.
It’s understood the incident was domestic related, and no weapons were used in the assault.
