A man has been arrested over a ‘suspicious’ fire and assault at a flat in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Thornford Drive, Westlea, at around 5am on Saturday 5 October.
Firefighters contacted the police when it was believed the fire had been started deliberately.
A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
He was also arrested for assault, but has since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
