UPDATE: Calne man denies Domino’s Pizza bomb hoax and knife charges
A man has been arrested and charged over a knife incident in a Calne Park.
Police were called to reports of a suspect armed with a kitchen knife at Calne Recreation Ground at around 7pm on Sunday (3 August).
It’s alleged the man – who was walking around barefooted – placed the blade into a bin before sitting on a bench and reading a newspaper.
When officers arrived, they recovered and seized the knife from the bin and arrested the suspect in connection with the incident.
52-year-old Paul Radley was charged with possession of a knife in a public place and remanded in custody.
At Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday (4 August), he pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The defendant, of The Pippin, Calne, will face trial on 2 July 2026. He was released on unconditional bail.
