A man was arrested after failing a roadside breath test in Trowbridge this morning.
The driver was pulled over by two volunteer police officers from the Special Constabulary in Wicker Hill, in the town centre, at around 10am.
He gave a positive sample of breath reading 99 at the roadside. The legal limit is 35. He was taken to Melksham custody where he remains.
The man has since been charged with driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit and will be brought before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
