A man has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A350 near Warminster.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the major route in the Longbridge Deverill area at around 6.50pm on Tuesday (2 September).
The incident involved a Ford Transit van and a Ford Mondeo – which impact head-on.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance attended the scene alongside many other 999 resources.
The driver of the van, a man aged in his 30s, suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for urgent treatment.
The driver of the Mondeo, a woman aged in her 70s, suffered a serious injury which isn’t thought to be life-changing.
The road was closed until around 9am this morning (Wednesday) for investigation work.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “There were no arrests and an investigation to establish the circumstances of the collision is continuing.
