A man was airlifted in a life-threatening condition after an incident in Chippenham.
Following reports of a man with injuries unresponsive in Sheldon Road on Sunday (17 December), emergency services raced to the scene.
Members of the public, police officers and paramedics provided emergency care, soon after supported by critical care medics from Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
The helicopter touched down in Kingsley Road Field, and was later used to fly the critical patient to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for further treatment.
The road was closed by police in both directions by reopened around an hour and a half later.
First responders initially believed they were attending a man who had been struck by a car, but Wiltshire Police have since confirmed it was a medical incident.
