A woman has been threatened by a man brandishing a pair of secateurs.
The incident happened outside The Cooperative Food in High Street, Malmesbury, this afternoon.
It’s understood a woman was involved in an altercation with a man, accompanied by a dog, at around 3.45pm.
It’s alleged he then produced a pair of secateurs and threatened her before walking off.
A number of people phoned Wiltshire Police following the disturbance and officers are now investigating the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We were called to an incident on High Street, Malmesbury, at approximately 3.45pm today (02/04).
“It is reported that there has been an altercation before a man has allegedly threatened the victim with a pair of secateurs.
“The man, who is described as in his 70s and was wearing a cap, has walked off with his dog.
“Our enquiries are ongoing but anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information will help us with our investigations is asked to call 101 and quote log 202 of today’s date.”
