A man’s been interviewed in connection with alleged rape behind a Swindon service station.
Wiltshire Police last week appealed for information following the report of the sexual assault in the West View area, near Esso in Docan Way, at around 10.30pm on September.
The 19-year-old victim is being supported by specialist officers as detectives probe the incident, with a 20-year-old local man being interview in connection with the attack.
“Following our investigations and media appeal, a 20-year-old local male has been interviewed under caution”, a police spokesperson commented.
Adding: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we wish to reassure the public that there is no further or ongoing risk to the public.”
Patrols in the area were stepped up in light of the reported rape.
