A major Swindon road has been closed due to a mental health incident, it’s understood.
Emergency services were called to Thamesdown Drive at around 8pm today (Friday).
A person is reportedly in distress on a footbridge over the busy route.
Witnesses claimed people on the bridge are holding onto the person to stop them falling.
Numerous police, ambulance and fire resources are in attendance – including technical rescue team and an aerial ladder platform appliance.
