A bin bag of flesh dumped in the middle of a road sparked major police incident tonight.
A large number of police officers responded to reports from a member of the public about a bag of what appeared to be remains on Marlowe Avenue in Swindon at around 9.45pm.
A cordon was immediately place around the find, closing the road near Drakes Way.
At before 10.15pm, CSI attended the scene and took a sample for analysis.
Police officers took details from residents, and asked questions about what they witnessed, as dozens of residents came out into the street with their children in tow for a close-up view.
At 0.05am, a female police officer walked into the scene, scooped up the remains with her hands and washed the road with bottled water. She then confirmed it was deer body parts.
The road was fully reopened at 0.15am.
