The M4 remains closed this morning (Sunday) following a serious crash.

Last night, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that the M4 between junction 16 for Royal Wootton Bassett and 15 for Swindon is currently closed eastbound following a serious collision.

“The road is likely to remain closed for the foreseeable future. Please find alternate routes.”

In an update, they added: “The westbound carriageway has also now been closed.”

Updates to follow.
