The M4 remains closed this morning (Sunday) following a serious crash.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision between junctions 16 and 15 at around 7pm yesterday evening (Saturday, 9 December).
The road is expected to remain closed in both directions until around midday for forensic collision investigation work.
National Highways website reads: “Emergency services including Wiltshire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management.
“Investigations by Police are ongoing this morning and the road is expected to remain closed until mid morning.”

Last night, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that the M4 between junction 16 for Royal Wootton Bassett and 15 for Swindon is currently closed eastbound following a serious collision.
“The road is likely to remain closed for the foreseeable future. Please find alternate routes.”
In an update, they added: “The westbound carriageway has also now been closed.”
