There was a large emergency response to a medical incident in Swindon on Thursday (18 May).
Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called to Regent Close, near the Wyvern car park, at around 10.30am.
A man, aged in his 80s, was treated in the street after reportedly collapsing into cardiac arrest.
It’s understood numerous members of the public stopped to provide emergency first aid to the casualty.
He was later taken to Great Western Hospital for further treatment by land ambulance.
At the height of the incident, three critical care medics, two ambulance crews and a senior paramedic officer were in attendance alongside several police officers.
The green and yellow helicopter landed in the field opposite Spring Gardens, sparking the attention of local residents who came out to look at it.
It landed at the hospital to collect the charity’s crew members before returning to base.
