A Swindon man has pleaded guilty to attacking his wife on three occasions.

47-year-old James Lever appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 14 March.

The dad-of-three, who worked as a medical aesthetician and owned JLAesthetics, admitted three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

One of the attacks took place on 20 September 2022, as the victim recovered from a C-section – having given birth to his child the month previous.

Another happened just months later – on Christmas Eve 2022.

He also accepted assaulting the victim on a date between 11 September and 16 September 2023.

A pre-sentence report was ordered and Lever, of Alderley Road, Swindon, was released on unconditional bail.

He is due to return to Swindon Magistrates’ Court for sentencing on 18 April.
