UPDATE: Vulnerable intoxicated man robbed by two female drug addicts in Swindon

An intoxicated man has had his money stolen in a street robbery, according to an eyewitness.

Police officers were called to the scene in Manchester Road following the incident, in which the man — thought to be in his 60s — suffered a head injury.

But it’s understood the man injured himself by falling over.

The eyewitness, a worker from a nearby restaurant, said the casualty has been robbed before he fell.

An ambulance was called by police at around 7.15pm, but at 8pm, it still hadn’t arrived at the scene.

A friend of the casualty sat with him on the floor, holding paper towels on his bleeding head.
