A motorcyclist has been reported to court after ploughing head-on into a campervan.
The rider, aged in his 30s, was rushed to hospital with a serious leg injury following the collision in Winsley Hill, west of Bradford on Avon, on Sunday 25 September.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance touched down in a nearby field to allow the charity’s critical care medics to treat the male biker alongside local ambulance crews.
It’s believed the motorcyclist crossed the white line and impacted the front of the campervan.
Wiltshire Police has since reported the rider to court for driving without due care and attention.
They were also reported for riding without insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.
The bike was reportedly stolen from a commercial unit on Clutton Hill Industrial Estate in Somerset several days before the road traffic collision.
An investigation into the theft is ongoing, according to Avon and Somerset Police – but no arrests have been made at this stage.
