Emergency services are currently attending a three-vehicle crash near Chippenham.
A huge number of 999 resources were sent to the B4039 in Tiddleywink, near Yatton Keynell, at around 11.30am this morning (Friday).
The road traffic collision involved a van and an orange Renault car, which ended up embedded in a hedgerow. Details about the third vehicle are unclear.
Fire engines from Chippenham and Corsham, three Hazardous Area Response Team ambulances from Bristol, two ambulances and police were all on scene.
Despite the significant response, nobody was trapped in either vehicle and nobody sustained any serious injuries.
A woman, who was travelling in the Renault, was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for further assessment – thought to be as a precaution.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that “firefighters assisted with scene safety, traffic management and casualty care as no-one was trapped”.
Adding that “both casualties only sustained minor injuries”.
Wiltshire Police said that efforts were ongoing to clear the road of the damaged vehicles. The route is likely to reopen by around 2pm.
