Railway customers are being warned about a huge swarm of bees at a main line station.
Great Western Railway announced that the buzzing insects are around the main South Entrance/Exit to Reading station, near The Three Guineas pub, this afternoon (Monday).
The firm says the bees are “causing a hazard to colleagues and customers alike”, with anyone attending the station to avoid the area and use other access points.
“The station team have asked if customers and colleagues could try and use the North Entrance/Exit where possible (Trooper Potts Way) in order to try and avoid the swarm of bees”, a spokesperson said.
They added: “Local management teams are sourcing appropriate contacts to see what the best approach is to managing / dealing with this issue.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to your journey with us today.”
