A man laying in the middle of the road sparked calls to police in the early hours of this morning.
The man, thought to be in his 20s and homeless, was witnessed arguing with a woman on the Magic Roundabout at around 1am today and risked his life when he led down on the tarmac.
Paramedics in a passing ambulance were the first emergency service personnel to attend the incident at the local landmark, but when the male became aggressive police were called.
He was removed from the road by officers and they left the scene.
But a short time later police received another 999 call about the man repeating his earlier actions – laying in the road once again as traffic was forced to drive around him to avoid a potentially fatal collision.
He was once again removed from the road and told to leave the area, and he did.
Overall, police were called out to deal with the man at least four times overnight.
