Police have caught a goat who had been terrorising people in a Wiltshire village.
Officers raced to the scene in Upper Seagry, near Chippenham, following reports of the aggressive animal on the loose on Thursday morning (18 December).
PC Ferris and PC Miller, from the local response team, were first on scene – deploying riot shields to protect themselves from the grumpy goat.
The animal has been labelled “violent” by those who had come across him, making him a real danger to people and property.
Thankfully, the officers were able to safely capture the goat and return him to his owner.
In a statement, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “This one tried to make a break for it… but officers weren’t kidding around. Riot shields deployed and suspect apprehended.
“We had a report that this goat had escaped and was terrorising staff and members of the public in Upper Seagry on Thursday morning (18/12).
“Described to us as ‘violent’, the goat was a real danger to the people and their property while he was on the loose.
“PC Ferris and PC Miller, from Chippenham Response, swiftly responded, controlled the situation and returned the goat to his owner.”
