Police have carried out numerous drug raids across Wiltshire – with six people arrested.
A house in Sangster Avenue, which is known locally as ‘Gangster Avenue’, was targeted by officers in Melksham this morning (Thursday).
Half a dozen police vehicles filled the street, while a property in Queensway and another in Devizes also had their doors bashed in as two further drug warrants were executed locally.
In total, six people were arrested and taken into custody for questioning in relation to drugs offences.
PC Jenn Miller said that Misuse of Drugs Act raids were undertaken at “two addresses in Melksham and one in Devizes”.
She added: “We need the public to come forward and give us intel, anything so we can collate the information and swear out the warrants.
“Any comings and goings from addresses, anything suspicious, anything that you think is out of the normal needs to be reported to us so we can collate a picture.”
