Police have made arrests after they attended a call to a ‘welfare concern’ in Swindon.
Officers were called to the flat in York Road by local residents at 3pm, where an enforcer was used to gain entry to the property after their repeated commands for the door to be opened were ignored.
At around 4.30pm four people, three woman and a man – who all appeared to be aged in their 20s – were handcuffed and placed into two police vans.
Talking to our reporter at the scene this afternoon, a local police sergeant said: “On arrival, we’ve entered the address using our Section 17 powers because were were concerned having not been let into the address and we could see people inside.
“Inside, we’ve established were were some possible offences so we’ve arrested four occupants for further questioning at Gablecross.
“At this stage I cannot say more about the offence that may have been committed.”
A police dog unit was also called to the scene to assist.
We’ve approached Wiltshire Police for further comment.
