Four people have been arrested after a fight broke out in Calne town centre.
Police were called to the Wood Street and High Street area at approximately 11pm on Saturday (29 June) by town CCTV operators reporting a disorder.
The incident involved a large number of people, with officers arresting three males and one female.
The men, aged aged 20, 26 and 36, and a 28-year-old woman were all arrested on suspicion of affray and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Sgt Mike Tripp said: “Incidents of this nature cast a really negative impression of a town that works so hard to build a strong community and safe environment for those that live, work and socialise there.
“This behaviour by a small number of individuals will not be tolerated and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the disorder is urged to get in touch to help with our enquiries.”
