Firefighters have taken part in a large scale training exercise at a grain facility.
The scenario saw Wilton Fire Station attend as the first crew following reports that a person had fallen from an internal ladder inside one of the site’s grain silos.
Crews established safety measures and set up command structures on arrival at the facility near Shrewton in Wiltshire.

A technical rescue team from Westlea Fire Station then worked alongside firefighters from Salisbury Fire Station, supported by an aerial ladder platform, to safely remove the casualty from the silo.
The exercise took place at Trinity Grain Ltd and formed part of ongoing multi-station training designed to prepare crews for complex rescue situations.
Wilton Fire Station thanked the company for allowing firefighters to use the facility for the drill.
