Two buildings have been destroyed in a blaze in Marshfield – just over the Wiltshire border.
Emergency services, including fire crews from Chippenham, were called to the incident in High Street at around midday today (Wednesday, 31 August).
Two flats, a hairdressing salon and a village shop named Central Stores are thought to have been gutted – with the rooves falling in on the buildings.

Shortly after the incident, Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11:56 this morning to reports of a house fire on Sheepfair Lane, Marshfield.
“We currently have 6 fire engines on the scene, with a further 4 on route (sic). All persons have been accounted for and no injuries have been reported.”
