A man has been cut free from his vehicle following a collision near Marlborough.
The crash happened on Rockley Road – between Broad Hinton and Marlborough – at around 8.30pm yesterday evening, Saturday 16 July.
It’s understood that two other vehicles, a BMW 1 Series and Vauxhall Astra, were involved in the collision but did not stop at the scene to provide any assistance.
An off-duty police officer and a nurse stopped at the scene to help the injured driver.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they dispatched two fire crews – one from Swindon and one from Stratton – to the scene, who extricated one casualty using hydraulic cutting equipment and stabilisation equipment.
Luckily, the driver of the vehicle suffered only minor injuries.
