Firearms officers descended on a site in Trowbridge over weapons fears yesterday (Saturday).
Armed police, a dog unit and local officers attended the scene in Stallard Street at around 5.30pm.
A search of the former Bowyers factory sire was undertaken following concerns raised about suspicious activity.
It was reported that those involved were armed with weapons and therefore firearms officers were deployed as a precaution.
Wiltshire Police said that a search was carried out and “no weapons were located at the site and there was no threat to the public”.
It added: “No criminal offences were found to have been committed.”
