Extra police patrols have been deployed after two children were ‘approached by an older boy’ in Swindon – while walking to school.
Wiltshire Police say there is “not believed to be any threat to the children”, but have put on additional officers following the incident.
It happened near William Morris Primary School this morning (Tuesday), sparking police to launch an investigation and visit the children involved.
Despite this, the force claims nobody was threatened or subjected to harm. What exactly took place has not been disclosed.

“We are aware of an incident this morning (25/11) in which two children, walking to William Morris Primary School in Swindon, have been approached by an older boy not known to them.
“The children were concerned and ran away. However, they were not threatened or subject to any harm.
“Officers have spoken to the children and with senior staff.
“We take such reports extremely seriously, and whilst there is not believed to be any threat to the children, extra patrols will be in place at the end of the school day for further reassurance.
“We would ask that anyone with similar concerns should call 101. In an emergency always call 999.”
