Emergency crews rush to possible stabbing outside Dorcan Academy

The emergency services have attended a serious assault involving a group of teenagers outside Dorcan Academy earlier this afternoon.

Police officers and paramedics were dispatched to the incident on B4006 Dorcan Way at just before 3pm, Wednesday 29 March, where they discovered a serious altercation.

It is understood that an man has been assaulted, and suffered injuries resulting in him being ‘covered in blood’. It is unknown whether a knife was used in the attack, however, police officers were seen to be searching nearby undergrowth.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called around 3pm today, Wednesday 29 March, to an incident following reports that a group of youths were involved in an altercation with a male close to Dorcan Academy.

“One male taken to hospital following concern for his welfare.

“Officers are continuing their enquiries and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.”
