Two men are accused of a ‘predatory’ sex attack outside a nightclub in Swindon.
Asylum seeker Aryan Choudhary, 21, and foreign student Nikhil Chopra, 20, have been charged with sexual assault following an incident outside Tree in Old Town on Sunday morning (3 September).
Additionally, Chopra faces a further charge of indecent exposure – where he’s alleged to have exposed his penis through his trouser zip.
At Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Monday), the co-defendants pleaded not guilty to the crimes.
Prosecutor Keith Ballinger said alleged the pair touched a woman’s breasts, bottom and vagina under the clothing after waiting for her to leave the popular establishment in Hoopers Place.
He said the complainant “felt like they were waiting for her when she left a nightclub on her own”.
District Judge Dickens sent the case to Swindon Crown Court for a plea hearing on 6 September. Both defendants were remanded in custody.
“This case is too serious to be dealt with here”, she said.
Adding: “This is very worrying crime if you did it, because it’s a vulnerable person outside a nightclub and it looks like a targeted situation”.
