A duo have been arrested after a man was attacked in a Trowbridge alleyway.
Emergency services were called to the scene off Castle Street, in the town centre, at around 1.30am this morning (Saturday).
The ambulance service was first to attend, with a man – aged in his 30s – treated in the alleyway for serious injuries.
Police later arrived, and a crime scene was put in place as the victim was rushed to hospital for urgent care.
According to a local, there was “blood everywhere”, however, it’s not yet known what injuries the man sustained.
Officers have since arrested a man aged in his 30s and a woman aged in her 20s on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Both suspects remain in custody for questioning.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be reassured that the incident is thought to be isolated with the involved parties known to each other.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact us on 101 quoting log 20 of today’s date.”
