A driver stopped on the M4 in Wiltshire was found to be a ‘deported’ Albanian national.
Wiltshire Police stopped a Mercedes travelling eastbound towards Swindon last night (Tuesday 11 January).
The driver provided the roads policing officers with false details and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving without a licence or insurance.
At Gablecross custody, the driver remembered his real name and he was found to be an Albanian national who was wanted for breach of a deportation order.
A deportation order requires a person to leave the UK and prohibits them from lawfully entering the UK while it remains in force.
It’s believed the male was remanded in custody to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
