A driver has been reported after ‘nearly hitting a police car’ in Chippenham.
The Specials’ Road Safety Unit, run by volunteer police officers, stopped the red Peugeot 107 in New Road on yesterday night (Thursday, 14 December).
It’s said the driver jumped a red traffic light and subsequently narrowly avoided ploughing into the marked police vehicle.
“This driver failed to see a red light and almost collided with our marked police car”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “Driver reported and can expect to receive 3 points and a fine.”
