A driver ditched their car and their cannabis after hitting a bollard in Cirencester.
Police were called to reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Market Place at around 8pm last night (Wednesday, 19 February).
A red Peugeot estate struck a bollard after travelling the wrong way down Cricklade Street, sustaining front nearside damage.
“The driver then decided they didn’t want to wait around for Police and promptly left the scene – leaving a small amount of cannabis in their vehicle for officers to seize”, a Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson added.
“If you were in the area at the time, officers would like to hear from you if you witnessed anything. Please contact us quoting incident 420 of 19/02/2025 if you can help.”
