A driver has been arrested after crashing on the M4 near Chippenham this evening (Monday).
Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision on the carriageway just after Junction 17 westbound at around 6.30pm.
A car hit the central reservation and span out of control.
The driver has since been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a positive breath test at the roadside.
The motorway is closed westbound – with traffic queuing back towards Junction 16 (Swindon).
