A driver’s been arrested in Calne after he was seen ‘headbutting a steering wheel’.
Police were called to the unusual incident in a residential street shortly before 8am this morning (Sunday).
The suspect was located in a silver Audi, but the man attempted to put his keys in the ignition.
Following what police say was a “tussle” over the keys, he was detained and arrested on suspicion of driving/attempting to drive whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
A Roads Police Unit spokesperson alleged the suspect was “heavily intoxicated by a likely mix of substances”.
