A driver has been arrested after a crash with an elderly pedestrian in Trowbridge this evening.
The 85-year-old woman was reportedly trapped underneath a small car in the serious collision on Dursley Road – outside McColls – at around 6pm.
Although specialist roads policing officers told Wiltshire 999s that the driver of the vehicle involved was arrested, they wouldn’t comment on the offence at this stage.
The casualty was taken to Royal United Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A collision investigation is now underway.
