A double decker bus has ploughed into a Bath bridge in a dramatic crash.
Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision in High Street, Twerton, at around 9pm this evening (Wednesday).
A bus has stuck a railway bridge just off the A36 near McDonald’s, sustaining significant damage to the front upper deck.
It’s not yet known if anybody was on the bus at the time, or if anyone was injured.
999 crews and Network Rail are in attendance at present – with the road blocked in both directions.
It’s unclear whether the incident has affected the railway network. Train services are likely to be delayed as a result.
