Police have launched a probe after a dog was hit and killed by a car in Cirencester.
A vehicle struck the pet as it was being walked on a lead on the A417 Grove Lane at around 5.10pm on Wednesday 8 November.
During the incident near the Norman Arch Gate House entrance for the Abbey Grounds, the driver failed to stop at the scene.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “There was traffic in the area and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, has dashcam footage or any other information which could assist with enquiries.”
