A disqualified driver has reportedly given a false name to police in Swindon.
Roads policing officers stopped a white Volkswagen Golf GTI on County Road this afternoon (Tuesday).
The suspect driver was recognised by an officer – but proceeded to give made-up details.
“The driver didn’t recognise the officer and proceeded to provide false details”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “The officer recognised the driver and the truth came out!”
The driver has since been reported to court for driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and obstructing a police officer.
