A crime scene is in place after a man was left with serious injuries following an assault near The Emporium in Devizes.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called at 3.15pm this afternoon to reports of an assault on St John’s Street.
“A man in his 30s was assaulted by another male who left the area after the incident.
“The victim has been taken to hospital with facial injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
“Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to call us on 101 and quote log number 196 of today.”
