Detectives investigating the stabbing in Swindon town centre this morning have made two arrests.
Police were called to reports of a man being assaulted at just before 2am, and despite a search of the area, no casualty was found but later found him at Great Western Hospital.
The victim, in his 30s, suffered a stab wound to the leg and remains in hospital, but is stable.
Police believe the stabbing was drugs-related as a man and woman are arrested today.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “At this stage our enquiries lead us to believe it is likely to be drug-related. Two people, a 42-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody helping us with our enquiries.”
