A ‘dedicated’ Swindon councillor who ‘made a lasting impact’ has died, it has been announced this afternoon (Monday).
Long-serving councillor John Fuller, of Haydon Wick Parish Council, passed away on Thursday morning (8 January).
Chairman councillor Vinay Manro said he’ll be “greatly missed” by those who knew him.
He said: “It is with great sadness that I share the news that Councillor John Fuller passed away on the morning of 8 January 2026.
“John was a long-standing and highly valued Member of Haydon Wick Parish Council.
“John gave many years of dedicated service to the community and brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in planning, policy, finance, and local matters.
“John’s commitment, insight, and good humour made a lasting impact on the Council and on Haydon Wick as a whole.
“John will be greatly missed by his fellow councillors, council staff, and all who had the privilege of working with him.
“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.”
No further details about his death have been released publicly at this time.
