The death of a man in Swindon sparked a full-scale police investigation last week.
Officers attended an address in Cromer Court, Liden, on the evening of Wednesday 5 April.
A man, aged in his 50s, was rushed to hospital – where he was later pronounced dead.
The following day, forensic work was carried out at the scene with detectives also attending.
Local residents claimed the man – who has not yet been named – was “kind and lovely”.
Wiltshire Police has confirmed that his death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We responded to a welfare concern for a resident of Cromer Court in Liden, Swindon on April 5.
“The occupant, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital where he later sadly died despite the best efforts of medical staff.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends and we ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.”
