UPDATE: Woman arrested as man suffers head injuries in Swindon car park
A crime scene is in place at a Swindon town centre car park after a ‘serious incident’.
Police cordoned off a section of the multi-storey in Spring Gardens this morning (Thursday).
Within the taped-off area there appeared to be a dry pool of blood, a bicycle and a can of alcohol.
The scene was outside the door to the stairwell on level two, which was also part of the area which was being examined by two forensics officers.
The cordon has since been lifted, but mystery surrounds what occurred there and when exactly.
One local raised concerns about residents of Booth House, a homeless hostel, congregating in the car park – leaving some people feeling uncomfortable.
They spoke of how they were “on edge” when parking and concerned about personal safety due to previous incidents that they know have occurred there.
However, details of what happened have not yet been provided by authorities.
Wiltshire Police were approached for comment at 2.48pm. No response has been received as yet.
