A crime scene was put in place on a busy Swindon route following a serious incident this morning (Sunday).
Detectives are probing the assault of a male on Marlborough Road, opposite Signal Way, at around 5.30am.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an attack. Though police say his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
At 9.30am, police officers were guarding the pavement outside two homes – which was taped off.
Within the crime scene cordon was a large pool of blood and an open packet of rolling tobacco.
Wiltshire Police has confirmed that two males, both aged 18, were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. They remain in custody for questioning.
Forensic work is expected to be carried out at the crime scene this afternoon.
