A teen from Corsham who robbed a child on a bus has been convicted at court.
Tyreece Corbin, 19, pleaded guilty to robbery at Swindon Crown Court today (Monday).
The offence took place on 17 April 2025 while Corbin was travelling on the X31 bus near Corsham.
The court heard Corbin struck up a conversation with a boy – who was 16 – at the time before demanding his Apple AirPods.
He threatened to assault the teenager with a weapon he claimed was in his bag if the items were not handed over.
Fearing violence, the victim gave Corbin the AirPods and got off the bus a short time later. The incident was reported to police the following day.
Corbin, of no fixed address but previously of Lacock Road in Corsham was arrested, charged and initially remanded into custody.
He was released on bail by the courts the following day, but after multiple breaches he was remanded into prison. He has so far served nearly six months in custody.
Corbin is due to be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on 5 March.
DC Elena Brown said: “Corbin left his young victim feeling scared and anxious, which is preventing him from getting out and about and enjoying his hobbies like a normal teenager should be able to do.
“I am pleased Corbin has been remanded – his multiple breaches of his court bail show he has no remorse for his actions.”
