A Chippenham man is accused of raping a girl when he was a teenage boy.
18-year-old Tye Constantine appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 1 November.
He’s accused of raping the girl – who was under the age of 16 at the time – more than 18 months ago. The defendant was under the age of 18 at the time of the alleged offence.
No pleas were entered and due to the seriousness of the offence, the case was sent to Swindon Crown Court.
A plea and trial preparation hearing will take place on 2 December.
The defendant, of Middlefield Road, Chippenham, was released on unconditional bail.
