A Chippenham man has appeared in court charged with possessing indecent images of children.
Simon Clewes, 43, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (15 September).
Crown prosecutor Natalie Cheeseman alleged the defendant, of Charter Road, was caught with 669 indecent images of children as young as 18 months.
She said some of the images were “extremely severe” in nature.
District judge Joanna Dickens decided the case was too serious to be heard in the magistrates’ court. The case was adjourned to Swindon Crown Court in October.
